Multi-Organisation Functionality Supports Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STPs)

Sustainability Transformation Plans (STPs) have been designed to drive transformation in health and care delivery across the NHS and social care.  STP plans often support the recommendations of the Carter Report, particularly the aim of making back office functions and services more efficient.

Having spent the last 10 years working with healthcare organisations in the UK we wanted to ensure the technology we support (predominantly the Totara Learn) is able to help organisations to deliver STP plans and work effectively within this new collaborative environment.

We recognise the desire for organisations to remain independent whilst also needing to collaborate efficiently towards common objectives, sharing knowledge and resources effectively.

We believe that Think Learning can help to support a number of the core objectives of the STPs including:

Our in-house development team researched the likely needs of STPs and we have extended the capability of Totara Learn for ‘multi-organisational’ use. This approach allows individual organisations to manage their own instance of Totara Learn (branding and organisation specific information such as employee data, workflows, processes, frameworks, reporting etc), whilst giving access for nominated administrators to access specific data reports that can be used to satisfy regional / national reporting requirements.

In simple terms, Totara Learn can be integrated with multiple HR systems (which effectively manages users and hierarchies on the system), but individual learners and administrators will be presented with content and branding that is relevant to the individual and their organisation. This simplifies the experience for learners only giving them access to relevant information.
